Chris Rankin at Witches & Wizards Day
10/9/2006
A Magical Day at Kelling Heath Saturday 28th October 2006
Chris Rankin, well known as Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter films, will be launching the first Witches and Wizards day at Kelling Heath later this month. The day is organised to give children a fun taste of Hogwarts style magical skills and techniques, all in an authentically Halloween themed venue with the opportunity to show their newfound expertise in a drama-based demonstration at the end of each session.
The event will be raising money for Kelling Heath's adopted charity for 2006; Norfolk based Nelson's Journey, of which Chris is patron.
Nelson's Journey works with bereaved children helping them to understand and work through their grief following the death of a close relative.
The budding Witches and Wizards are invited to attend a range of workshops on Saturday 28th October, at Kelling Heath. The workshops will be drama-based and are being run by Bridget Robinson from Sheringham Little Theatre who regularly organises very popular participative drama sessions for children of all ages.
Chris will be working his magic on the day and says "Nelson's Journey is a fantastic charity and participating in a Witches and Wizards workshop is one great way of helping us to raise important funds."
Sessions will cost £6.00 per child with all proceeds going to Nelson's Journey. Places are limited so parents are advised to book now.
More information is available from the Kelling Heath reception on 01263 588 181. Places in the sessions can also be booked on this number with payment made by credit/debit card, or by visiting Kelling Heath reception in person.
